Drupal.org, Design Iterations, and Designing in the open

It’s been a good while since I announced we’re working on the redesign of Drupal.org. Two months, a couple of presentations, and seven iterations of the prototype later, a glimmer is at the end of the tunnel.

On thing is for sure, in this instance, Design by Community works.


Cap D or not? Splash or not?

This is our current thinking on the direction of the branding. We’ve introduced a logo, a ‘splash’, and we’re asking the community for feedback on whether Drupal should be cap D, or not.

Mark Boulton Design to redesign Drupal.org

Applematters

The redesigned Applematters, a site dedicated to the ‘serious yet irreverent look at all things Apple’, was launched today.

Designed by Mark Boulton Design, built by Solspace using Expression Engine, the new Apple Matters site has been designed from the ground up to give a richer, more ‘Apple’, experience for the Applematters readership.

Designer, Benn Pearson joins Mark Boulton Design today. We’ve found, during the hiring process, that’s it’s very tricky to find people who are the right fit. Benn fits in perfectly.
